About Monique Overstreet (She/Her)

It Takes A Village to be Human

Monique is a Nationally Certified Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) in Georgia. She received her Masters in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Argosy University. Monique's treatment areas include survivors of sex trafficking, recovery after divorce, complex trauma, domestic/dating violence, grief, depression and anxiety. Monique believes it takes a village to be human especially after life altering events. She helps clients from a trauma-informed lens and her treatment foundation is in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT). Monique focuses on inner child work in addition to mindfulness, grounding as well as considerations of neurobiology. Her ideal client is someone who is ready to recreate the life they are destined to live, stand boldly in their truth, and prepared to exercise forgiveness of self. Monique is currently working at Summit’s Edge Counseling and I accept Cigna and Aetna insurance.

Let's take this journey to wellness. I love flowers/plants. I love to cook. I REALLY love to hike. I have the cutest fur-nieces and fur-nephews (because I like to give them back ha-ha). Not sure where I'd be without Jesus, my village (therapist included), coffee and trap music.
